It hasn’t ended yet, but May has been a good month at the club.
We managed to get a game of Pizza Tray Challenge in before the main Game of Arrows. Andy being so consistent, hitting the small 20 point circles was the outright winner and in a good position for the games to come. Omar’s nephew enjoyed it and it’s good practice. However, we need to eat more pizza!
We had a kind offer from a former member of the club Mr Flynn who donated 2 full recurve kits for the club to benefit from, as he no longer can take part in the sport and his son doesn’t live nearby. It was much appreciated although we did try to get him to come back to the club.
What a day we had Saturday 20th for Game of Arrows, a late start due to cricket on the field, but worth the wait. New scoring and new teams were picked by out friendly dragon, however the games were contested as vigorously as usual, as Neil and Barry take to the line here for Wolfgar.
Tony, deep in concentration trying to work out his next move for Draccar, the eventual winners.
Leander’s Elisa getting some dodgy instructions, yet she was meant to be wearing the glasses. In the end they came second.
Phil ran a special private event for which the club coffers will benefit from so wasn’t able to shoot, but they all joined us for the BBQ after. Hopefully we all went home happy and well fed. Thanks to those that attended as the games don’t work without you all, and Martin for coming up with the game and designs. Great fun.
