The last of the three Games of Arrows was held on 19th August. Take up was slow as many members seem to be away, hopefully having better weather than we’ve had here, but even so we had 18 competitors on what turned out to be a great day.
Dexter was making sure he has the right numbers in the book as team Dracar hit the hanging apple 6 times.
We were all behind Barry in his Duel for Wolfgar.
The end score tells its own tale, and having a compound archer in your team helps. Team Draccar ran out the overall winners. However, it was quite a close thing between Leander and Wolfger for the silver medal. The dragon is out again with new teams and ‘radical scoring’ said Martin for the New Year.
Instead of the BBQ after, we had pizza and chicken which went down well. With the BBQs we need a few people to volunteer so the load is spread, so don’t be shy.
We had another 6 gold ender from Andy at 20yds the following Sunday, as well as Kevin and Jarrad achieving their badges for 30yds and 60yds respectively.
